WAMFEST 2013: The Appalachian Heritage Kicks Off TODAY!

jessemcreynoldsThis year’s Words and Musical Festival kicks off today at 7 pm in Wilson Auditorium on FDU’s Teaneck Campus!  Today’s event is The Origins:  a conversation and performance with banjo player Tony TrischkaBlue Highway’s guitarist Tim Stafford, and old-time Bluegrass mandolin superstar Jesse McReynolds (pictured), accompanied by banjo player Steve Thomas.  This is co-hosted by Carol Beaugard of WFDU and our dynamic Artist-in-Residence Wesley Stace, who will be hosting all other events as well.  Browse our full schedule, featuring Loudon Wainwright III, Joe Lovett, Rosanne Cash, C.D.
