The Appalachian Heritage continues today at 1 pm with a screening of the historic movie Matewan in Dreyfuss Hall (Room 125, Madison Campus). Immediately afterward, Artist-in-Residence Wesley Stace will lead a discussion with producer Maggie Renzi and production designer Nora Chavooshian. But don’t worry if you’re working all afternoon, the fun doesn’t stop there! Award-winning journalist Bob Hennelly interviews environmental advocate Joe Lovett of Appalachian Mountain Advocates at 7 pm in Lenfell Hall, followed by a conversation and performance with heralded folk singer Loudon Wainwright III (pictured), also hosted by the lovely Wesley Stace.
It’s not too late to reserve your seat! Do so now by visiting our Eventbrite page. All events are free of charge. The FDU community and the general public are encouraged to attend. Click here for directions to our Madison campus.
